簡易宿泊所 開業へ - Opening a lodging house for visitors outside Japan

長い間脇目もふらずにそれなりに会社員として切磋琢磨してきたが、組織の中での優劣で人生が決まるような風潮に違和感を覚え始めてきたちょうどその時に、親戚から話を聞いて興味を持った地方の物件を購入することにした。住んでいた老夫婦の方は不慮の事故で家族を失い、新しいスタートを望んでいた時であったようですぐに取引は成立した。

購入した物件は飛行機で約１時間の場所にあるが、家族の理由で転居はできないため、簡易宿泊所としてオープンすることにした。普段はビジネスとして操業するが、軌道に乗ったら知人たちが気軽に集まれる場所にしたいと思う。そういう場所がいま極端に少ないと実感してきたからだ。

そこから先の計画は何もない。ただ、それでも開業の志を理解して手伝ってくれる知人との交流を通じて私の人生はとても豊かになっている。人生の目標を複線化することで行き詰った時にもプランＢに移れるのも気が楽である。突然訪れた人生の転機にいまは成り行きを任せようと思う。

I have devoted myself to a  job assigned by the company for a long time. Still, I began to feel uncomfortable with the trend that one's life is determined by one's superiority or inferiority in an organization, so I decided to purchase a property in a rural area I had heard about from a relative and was interested in. The elderly couple there had lost their family in an accident and were looking for a new start, so the deal went through quickly.

The property I purchased was about an hour's flight away. Although, due to family reasons, I could not relocate, I decided to open it as a lodging house. Usually, it will operate as a business, but I would like to make it a place where acquaintances can casually gather. Unfortunately, such sites are incredibly scarce nowadays.

I have no plans for the future. But even so, my life has been enriched through interactions with acquaintances who understand and support my aspirations for opening a business. It is also easy for me to move on to Plan B when I get stuck because I have multiple goals for my life. I am now willing to let life's sudden events take their course.
